Wearable Art, Sewing an Unlined Jacket - Sarah Fortin

This is a three-day, intensive sewing class. Students will bring their own, hand woven fabric to cut and sew into an unlined jacket or coat. Using patterns provided by the instructor, you will learn construction details and finishes that are appropriate for your fabric and the pattern. Many samples of jackets and coats are ready for you to try on, and all finishes are sampled for you to look at and learn from. Upon registration, information about yarn setts, necessary yardage requirements and equipment will be sent to you. Whether an experienced or novice seamstress, this class will give you knowledge and confidence to create garments from your hand woven fabrics. Cut, cut, cut! Create, create, create! Your yardage is not doing you any good being rolled up, stored in the closet! Sewing machine in good working condition is necessary.
