Socks - Soup to Nuts
- Charlene Schurch

In this workshop we will look at all the elements that make good, durable and interesting socks. Starting with cast ons, ribbings and other enjoyable patterns for the leg of the sock, then we will explore various heels. We will look at heel options for their knitability, durability and fit for a variety of feet. Moving down the foot, we'll also try several ways to work the toes, learn 'the' way to do Kitchener and ways to close the toes without it if you like. We will also explore the beginning, heels and bind offs that work best for toe up socks. In addition we'll work on good durable fabric to have long wearing socks. Finally we'll talk about designing your own, after you have all the skills, so you have socks that work with the yarn you like and the feet you have.
