Hand Spinning Beyond the Basics
- Donna Kay

June 25 - 29 (Mon. - Fri.)
This class is for the spinner who would like to expand their spinning skills. Working with wools from a variety of sheep breeds students will prepare washed wool with hand carders, a flick carder & combs then spin these preparations using a variety of draws. The focus will be developing a working knowledge of the relationship between fiber preparations and spinning methods to produce the type of yarn you want. We will also be using a drumcarder to prepare wool and create blends using mohair, alpaca and angora.
